in the hart of the Bushmanland.

Pofadder act as a gateway to Pella with
it's Historic Cathedral and date plantations,
the Namaqualand Wild Flower rute.
Pofadder is also close to the Namibian
Borderpost at Onseepkans.

Fuana & Flora


Plants
• Lithops Zylia (beeskloutjies)
• G ’hirri 8 days gras which appear after a good rainfall and disappear after 8 days
• Arctotis venusta (Wit Cousblom) is part of the calendula family and endemic to the bushmanland.
• ‘Skurwe ghaap’
• Aloe dietcthoma is a Quiver umbrella sapped
• Hermannia (Ouma se kappie) small hardened shrubs with pink and purple flowers.

Animals
• Fantailed squirrel (Xerus ingauris)
• Cordylus polysonis (Skurwejantjies) always lie in the sun
• Red lark (Certhilouda burra) on the red dunes of the farm Banke
• Eagles, Falcons, Owls - this area is often visited by birdwatchers and plant lovers of the ‘succulents’.
