Pofadder act as a gateway to Pella with
it's Historic Cathedral and date plantations,
the Namaqualand Wild Flower rute.
Pofadder is also close to the Namibian
Borderpost at Onseepkans.

Plants

Lithops Zylia (beeskloutjies)
• G ’hirri 8 days
gras which appear after a good rainfall and disappear after 8 days
• Arctotis venusta (Wit Cousblom) is part of the calendula
family and endemic to the bushmanland.
• ‘Skurwe ghaap’
• Aloe dietcthoma is a Quiver umbrella sapped
• Hermannia (Ouma se kappie) small hardened shrubs with
pink and purple flowers.
Animals

Fantailed squirrel (Xerus ingauris)

• Red lark (Certhilouda

on the red dunes of the farm Banke
